help, potty training,

Ok so this afternoon we gave it a go. Baby A was up from their nap at 1:30. We pumped her fill of water and waited for her signs. she held it for 1.5 hours and then peed on here sister (un intentionally, it was just funny) Baby B woke up at 3 they both sat on their potties for almost 2 hours. Baby B peed on the potty 2 times and didn't tell us either time. Baby A peed once we put the diaper back on.

Advice. Do we keep going or wait a few months.

they are 23/21m adjusted

Re: help, potty training,

IMO they might not be ready yet.
I know with my DD until SHE was ready- nothing I did would matter.
Then one day- it just clicked- and she hasn't had an accident since (with pee- poop is another story all together! Chat Icon )
I am of the thought that when they are ready, they are ready and that's it.

help, potty training,

my boys are 24 months - 23 months adjusted and we just use the potty when we are home- one gets the idea when naked the other can hold it but is a pain and the ass and pees in the wrong place on purpose

I am just introducing but not doing all the time- no pressure for a while

Re: help, potty training,

They may not be fully ready and they may not be ready at the same time either.
My twins are 2.5
At 2 my DD was physically ready. She was dry at night and after naps. I was pregnant and didn't push it because I wasn't sure I would be able to follow through once the baby came. So she went on the potty here in and there. About 2 months ago I just went for it and put her in underwear. She was ready and so was I. She has only had an accident once or twice and is doing great.

I know for sure DS is NOT ready. He will go on the potty when I take him but he pees in his diaper and thinks he is dry. I will do the same with him and wait until I know for sure he is ready.

help, potty training,

I used the 3 Day Potty Training method. DS was 33 months at the time. I have no idea if he was ready -- he showed some interest in the toilet but other than that, he never asked to use it or anything. And at no point prior to actually starting the potty training did we put him on there just to see how he'd do. I trained him because *I* was ready to do it. He got the peeing aspect in less than 3 days. Pooping took about 2 more months to get down but he did. No accidents since. He's now 3 years 2 months old (to be exact for timeline purposes).
