Real Estate in Florida

My parents want to buy a home in Florida. My Dad is down there right now looking without an agent. He has called a few to look at houses and many of them have been sold at least 2 months ago. Does anyone know what is the best website that has the most up to date information. They have looked in Port St. Lucie and Bonita springs so far and just want a nice neighborhood to retire so any reccomendations are apprciated as well.

Punta Gorda is a nice area, a little bit of the old Florida feel. My ILs live in Fort Myers in a really nice retirement community called Pelican Preserve.

I would say he definitely needs an agent though, they will be able to give the most up to date info, unless he looks on a MLS website. He should just call a real estate down there and tell them he's in the very early stages of looking.

I don't know of any sites. I think my parents used an agent. They're in a 55+ community in delray beach and LOVE it.

My parents live in Coconut Creek and are very happy there. If your parents want to buy now is the time to do it down there. The prices are extremely low and you can get a nice condo for a great price.

I hear Naples is beautiful. I would def suggest he contact an agent. They will be able to suggest areas that they think he may like. Good luck to them.
