You know her, if you think she is responsible enough than yes,

My cousin who will be 17 in a few weeks watches my two year old, and I would trust her with a 7 mo old. She is very responsible.

I have other relatives the same age that I would not let watch DD.

I was watching NB's at 12/13. Right now my sister watches DS & DD for the summer and they are 16m and 10 weeks she is 18. But again she is smart reliable etc. I have no issues at all leaving her. But it really does depend on the person.
