help me choose my first Spanx

I really need something to control my lower tummy and "saddle bags" / side butt.

Now, i had NO IDEA how many options there were in the Spanx world. I am overwhelmed.

I was looking at this one in the picture below - but will it create upside-down muffin top on the thighs where it ends? If you wear a more fitted dress, can you see the lines? I've seen women where you can actually see the lines on the back of their mid-thighs

The purpose of this would be to wear under cocktail dresses or even work dresses that are particularly unforgiving.

I am open to any and all suggestions for Spanx styles. They are $$ so i want to make a wise choice. If it matters, i'm average weight, just a little extra soft in the aforementioned areas.

I would do a full stocking if you are worried about bulge where the leg ends.

I like the high waisted ones that hit right under your bra and then are full stockings so there is no seam

I have those and don't have a problem with the thighs, but I lost the bra attachments, so the top rolls all the time :(

i happy to like the ones that are long shorts (like bermuda style) and they have two arm holes where you put your arms in
Its a flat fit from stomach, back and legs
