what is there to do to with a 3 & 6 yo at Disney?

is it even worth it? we are all set to plan for a trip next august and now i'm second guessing myself. are we rushing it? they love all the movies, etc. but what can they actually DO there? they will be too small for most of the rides. I feel totally overwhelmed!!

You are so wrong! We took both our kids at 2yo and they could go on so many rides. THis year DS1 was 5.5yo and besides big roller coasters he went on tons of stuff, like run away railroad, splash mountain, etc.

Disney more than any other park is a FAMILY experience and its set up in a way that IMO most rides are for families. there may be things that your 6yo wnats to do that your 3yo can't (ie splash mountain) but DH and I just split up, while he was on splash mountain with DS1 I was on Dumbo with DS2 (who turned 2 in Magic Kingdom)

I think your kids are the perfect age, where the magic of seeing their fave characters come to life will make the money spent be most worth it.

Dont second guess,,,,,go go go. You wont regret it!

ETA: OMG just noticed you have 2 girls! GO see the princess, have lunch at Epcot norway with the princess (less $$ than Cinderellas table) and watch their faces light up! Before they out grown the princess, go!Chat Icon

To me 3 and 6 is later to go not too early. There are very few rides that have height requirements. Most are 40 inches, a few 44 inches and about 2 that are 48. My girls have been going since 1. They are never bored and in fact we just got back in May right before they turned 4 and 6, we did not get done anywhere near in a week what they could and hoped to do. I guarantee you won't be able to doit all either.

They are the perfect ages to go! Definitely don't hesitate!

No feedback on Wilderness Lodge, sorry. If you do a search a few people on here have stayed there.

3 and 6 are the perfect ages for Disney. There is so much to do, you likely won't get everything done that you want to do and see. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and it was great. We had a fantastic time there. But, btdt, if the price of the Polly is the same, I would stay there because they have monorail access. I do think the Wilderness Lodge looks nicer aesthetically and I loved the boat access, but monorail access would be awesome.

we stayed at the wilderness lodge in December and it was awesome. Everything is under one roof. No walking to other buildings for meals. Boat access to the Magic Kingdom was great. Bus service was slow, but that has been my experience at every resort there except pop century.

and to answer your other question, what isn't there to do at Disney with a 3 and 6 year old! lol. Seriously, there is soooo much to do there. They are not too young at all. Perfect ages to enjoy 99% of the attractions.

We are going this month with Sophia who is 3. We are staying at Port Orleans. My sister in law has stayed there and it gets great reviews. check trip advisor for reviews

My daughter is so excited about disney. She cannot wait to see the castle and the princesses. We are going to the cinderella lunch one day during the trip
