Laminate flooring
The carpet in the townhouse I'm buying needs to be replaced. Is laminate much more than carpet? I just feel its more hygienic with a baby and a dog. I'm guessing I would be talking about between 1000-1200 sq feet.
Can any one share approx how much you paid per sq foot? I can look up prices on line, but I don't think that includes labor fees. For those of you who have installed laminates recently, where did you find the best deals? I'm in south west Nassau County.
Also I know there are different grades/quality of laminates... Any recommendations here? Don't want to break the bank, but don't want to get something that looks like crap in 2 yrs

Re: Laminate flooring
We did the bedrooms with wood laminate last December. Between labor and supplies it was about 1,500. I believe we covered about 1200 sq ft maybe a little more. I want to do it downstairs in of living room but I am worried b/c I have 4 kids and two dogs and I am not sure it will hold up. We are researching wood ceramic or porcelain tile.
For the bedroom we used Pergo Exotic Mahogany...or something like that.

Re: Laminate flooring
Who did you use for the install? Or did you do it yourself
