Deer Park Supermarkets
What's the cleanest/nicest supermarket in Deer Park? Trying to familiarize ourselves with the area...

Deer Park Supermarkets
I lived there a long time ago and I always shopped at the Stop n Shop on Commack rd near the outlets or the Waldbaums on DPA. I did not like the stores more south on DPA

Yes, either Stop and Shop mentioned above or King Kullen in the Sunset Plaza on DPA. My fave though for deli, meats and sometimes produce is Salpino's.

There is a Best Yet Market right off of Sunrise Highway. There is Shop Rite in Commack. The Stop and Shop by the outlets is nice as well.

Re: Deer Park Supermarkets
My DH shops at Stop & Shop on Commack Rd every weekend. It's the biggest supermarket in our area, and it has the best selection. He goes at 8:00 a.m. or earlier on the weekends, so he's able to get in and out with ease. Mid-day on the weekend it gets a bit hectic, but we try to avoid that area at that time anyway (outlets, kohls, S&S, Home Depot....too much traffic).
King Kullen in Sunset Plaza is smaller, and they never have all the things we need. And I hate the parking lot. There are too many people running in and out of the other shops, people parked in the fire lanes, people driving and not paying attention. Even though it's much closer to my house, it's not worth the hassle most of the time.
