To me that rule would be absolutely absurd and a reason to go anywhere else to deliver my baby. My my DS roomed with us the entire time and it was my DH that provided the majority of care for him other then the BFing which obviously I provided. I was in no shape to get up/do diapering duties etc between the bleeding/exhaustion of labor/episiotomy etc. My DH was amazing those 2 nights in the hospital and we were very excited to get out of there as soon as we could.
