Brushing 1 year olds teeth...
Do you brush your 1 year olds teeth twice a day? Do they tolerate it ie do you feel like you get a really good brushing? DD will not let me really brush them, and I feel like her breath smells some nights but not sure what to do.... Any teeth brushing advice? Thanks!

I let her do it and I do it as well.
She only has two top, two bottom so it's easy for me..
I also brush mine at the same time.

Brushing 1 year olds teeth...
I bought the Nuk finger brush with this apple banana toothpaste and she LOVES it. Right now, I only brush her teeth once a day. I do it after dinner.

Brushing 1 year olds teeth...
DS hates it but I still do it twice a day. He loves Sesame St so I got him Sesame St toothbrushes and training toothpaste. I have DH help me hold him down while I brush his teeth on the changing table. After I'm done I let him play with it and chew on it. To me, it's one of those things I know he's going to hate and I know he's going to put up a fight every time but it's important and I'm going to do it one way or another.

I've been struggling with this. Twice, DD has thrown up either because she gagged while I brushed her teeth, or because she got so upset by it that she made herself sick. I am struggling to even get it done once per day!

Brushing 1 year olds teeth...
She used to love it. We started at 5 months with the finger brush when she got her first teeth and she'd let me brush and brush. Once she started biting my finger, I switched to a toddler brush and now she doesn't really let me bc she wants to do it herself. I do the best I can and then let her do it herself. Some days I feel I get a good brushing done and some days not.

yes, twice a day. We started using the finger brush, and at around 11 months, we bought him a real toothbrush (baby toothbrush, the brand is mam). He doesn't love it, but doesn't fight me. I sing the same brushing teeth song, so he knows when its over. As soon as I'm done, I hand the brush to him and say " your turn to brush your teeth". That's his fav part.

We do once a day at night time. The dentist told us thats all we need to do for now. She said its more important to lay off items with sugar which we dont give him a lot of anyway so its not a big deal.
