Re: Atlantis Rooms - Cove or Reef?

The cab will drop you off right in front of the Cove. Cabs run very frequently from the airport so you should have no problem getting one and it is much cheaper than the Atlantis shuttle.

And, as for distance, all the restaurants are spread out throughout the resort, so if you want to try a wide variety of restaurants, it's inevitable that you will have to walk regardless of where you stay.

I only mention the distance if you want to hang out a little bit at night. the Cove and the Reef are pretty quite at night with only a couple of restaurants open whereas Marina Village has music outside, more restaurants, stilt walkers, bands, ice cream, etc. It's where the "action" is, along with Royal Towers.

During the day, I LOVED being at the Reef. It was away from the hecticness of the cruise ship crowd and never felt cramped.

It is also very close to the kids water playground.

You'll have a great time no matter where you stay. I don't agree that anything is a 30 minute walk. It's more like 15 minutes and if you don't feel like walking, the shuttles run regularly between the various buildings.

Sorry but I just wanted to say that some of the other posters are incorrect...they do have a family pool at the Cove...you just can't use Cain pool or beach club! Cascades is the family pool...you will LOVE it!

We decided to get a suite at royal towers instead. DH and the other family didn't want to stay at a hotel where the pool was adults only.

I am the only one in the group who cares about nice rooms. They all preferred to be near the action and main kid pool.

Just to clarify, Cove has both a regular pool and an adults only pool, correct?

Looks like I may get my first choice after all. Royal Towers seems to have no availability for the dates that we booked our flights. Chat Icon

Ugh. why is the atlantis website so hard to navigate? I'm looking at the map and can't even locate where the reef pool is. wondering if this is the pool you are referring to.

eta: OK, I found the cascades pool, the zero entry pool that is exclusive to only cove and reef guests. looks like it is in between the two hotels. Looks wonderful. Paradise Beach and Cove Beach are also right there. Our kids love to play in the sand.
