No Change...I'm grounded my son when he comes out!!!
I know that it's not my due date yet but since having contractions since Friday and being told I'm in early labor, I'm TOTALLY DONE but apparently DS is VERY content in there. I had my 39 week appt and they told me that I'm still only 1 cm, 70% effaced, and cervix is still high. Dr told me that she wants to see me next Monday (which is 3 days after my due date) and they will hook me up to the monitor at that appointment but I could go before then.
I have finally come to the realization that I'm going to be pregnant forever. LOL! I just keep hoping he'll come out and I pray like I've never prayed before every day almost all day. Especially at night when DH is home so I don't have to worry about DH coming home from all the way from downtown. So if you can spare some prayers I would appreciate it!!!

Don't worry he will be out soon! With DD#1 she was high and my cervix was closed. I wasn't beginning to do anything and we left my 40+ week appointment. Had I was in labor the next morning.

Ugh I am so sorry! I totally know how frustrating this is---I was in the SAME boat. My doc stripped my membranes and I went into labor a few hours after! I hope that your LO hurries up so that you go soon!

Thanks girls! My doctor's office won't let me go past July 8th but that just seems SO far away!!!!
DH and I did the deed last night. He thinks he has "magic swimmers" and that today will be the day...I've given up any hope of that happening HAHA!

oh man! I know you are miserable and done with it at this point. Try to stay active, do lots of walking, drink lots of water. The baby will be here when he's ready. Unfortunately some babies are late and some are early. Once he gets here you will forget about what you are going thru

I was 5cm dilated, "soft as butter" and having contractions at my 41week appt and I didn't go into labor for 3.5 more days! That was my third baby! That was my first internal because I found out having internals too early just gives me anxiety and impatience.
Make peace with this waiting period, it's hard but worth it. Baby will come when he (and your body) is ready.

I was maybe 1 cm at my appt. on a Thursday, did this on Sunday, and DD was born Monday morning at 38 weeks 5 days. Can't hurt to try!

sending you lots of prayers for baby to come out soon!
DD was 8 days late and i tried everything... spicy food, pineapple, lobster - every crazy thing people told me i tried!!! nothing helped
but what i do want to point out in terms of encouragement...i was going for the non stress tests every 3 days since dd was late. I had one on 2/14 and was told baby is content....nice and active, very high, my cervix was still long and closed - i was only 1cm dilated and 0% effaced (which is what i was at since 37 weeks). Well...on 2/15 i went into labor so dont stress too much if they tell you that nothing is going on at your next appt...it can come any time!

Thank you girls! I've tried everything so far except acupuncture (which is next on my list). Spicy food, eggplant, sex, pineapple, bouncing up and down, walking, etc.
Will keep everyone updated as I can.
