Apparently EVERYONE is an expert when it comes to what I should feed my son!
And MIL is #1 on that list!
Today DH, DS and I were at her deli for breakfast(she owns/operates) which we do about 2-5 times a week. And I have now started giving Troy breakfast there, since he is eating mostly "big boy" foods. Today I decide to give him a small pancake and one scrambled egg. He has had these numerous times before.
The first bite of egg and Troy pulls the egg out and tosses it. MIL INSTANTLY says "He doesn't like it" I try again, and he does he same thing. Again, MIL chimes in "No. Nope. He doesn't like it" I then go on to a piece of pancake which he devours. Then MIL tells DH (in spanish) the tell me that I should give Troy a soft cooked egg--you know boiled, but not cooked all the way. Because that's what SHE used to feed her kids. BTW, I would never give Troy an undercooked egg.
THEN, this lady-a perfect stranger to us says (as DH was translating to me) "You know you need to try differnt foods. Some kids don't like the same thing all the time"
I wanted to stab this chick with my plastic fork!
DH says they were trying to help. HELP!?!? Fine, help me, don't ridicule me!
