At What Week- Head Down?
At what week does the baby normally get head down? I went to my appt at 29 weeks 3 days and the doc said baby was head down (by feeling my tummy and taking heartbeat). I told someone at work and they said "she's head down already? U might go early." Is this true?

At What Week- Head Down?
All diff times. Head down at 29 weeks doesn't mean you will go early. Our baby's head was down and I am 38 weeks 6 days today.

Re: At What Week- Head Down?
definitely not an indication that you will go early! some babies turn earlier than others and some never turn. Last time I turned around 32 weeks not sure if I have yet with this pregnancy- but based on the pressure I am feeling, I am thinking yes (30 weeks)

No, definitely not an indication that you will go early.... baby will flip around until they run out of room. I'm 31 weeks and I have to go for scans every week, LO has been head down then head up every other appointment! As of last week, head down, let's hope he or she stays that way!

At What Week- Head Down?
I've been head down since 30 weeks. I'm 38 weeks and 4 days and baby is VERY content staying inside. Cervix is soft, fingertip dilated, and 20% effaced. Don't think I'm going early anymore.
SIL was also head down at 30 weeks and went 10 days late.
I hope you don't have to go late but I'm pretty sure head being down doesn't mean anything except you don't need a c-section due to breech position. However, I think he/she can still turn around again.

Re: At What Week- Head Down?
My DD was head down from around 24 wks on.........my water broke at exactly 39 wks.
My DS was head down early on like my DD and I went past my due date.
I don't think there is much truth to their position and going early.........at least in my case.

Re: At What Week- Head Down?
With this baby, I think at my 28 week he was head down. I was super excited because I had to have a CS with DS because he was frank breech. So I thought I was in the clear, but baby turned by the next appointment and as of my last appt at 33 weeks, he was frank breech. And from the feel of it, I don't think he's turned back yet. I want so bad to not have another CS - I am just hoping he will go back again but time is running out.
That being said, no, I don't think your DC being head down is an indicator you will go early. GL!!

Re: At What Week- Head Down?
My baby A has been head down for months. I'm 33 weeks and 3 days today. Baby B was head down for the first time ever on Saturday. By Monday he was head up again when I got to my Perinatologist. Just because they're head down doesn't mean they're staying that way.

At What Week- Head Down?
dd was head down at her 30 week appt - and stayed that way but unfortunately it was no indication that she was going to come early. she decided she wanted to stay in there until 41 weeks 1 day

Re: At What Week- Head Down?
At my appt a few weeks ago my baby was head down, at my appt last week, he was breech.. I'm 30wks. They still have plenty of time of flip in all sorts of directions.
