btdt moms, how did you know you were ready to TTC?
Up until recently I thought I was one and done. Maybe I'm getting over the ppd... maybe I'm crazier than ever. But I'm starting to really get that itch to TTC. DD is only 8 months.

My Lo is almost 3 years old...I realized when we just BD during my fertile time just to see what happens and when I got AF I wanted to be pregnant more than ever. Also, I want LO to have a sibling and I am not getting any younger.

btdt moms, how did you know you were ready to TTC?
I knew when DD1 was 1 that I was ready for another one. Took me that long to get over the pregnancy, birth and adjustment to motherhood. DD2 isn't even 6 weeks old and I am itching for #3, which is why I am lurking here, lol. I am waiting at least a few months of course, but I already feel mentally and physically ready to be pregnant and deliver again. I think you just get the feeling and know you are ready. I always knew I wanted more than one so they had a sibling. DD1 was 23 months when DD2 was born, and I actually think closer in age would have been easier - not harder. DD1 is a lot to handle at 2 years old. Good luck!

Re: btdt moms, how did you know you were ready to TTC?
i knew it when my fear turned to excitement and then a sort of anxiousness. It really hit me like a ton of bricks. We always planned on having another child but when he was here the thought of having 2 was a bit scary. I didn't know how i would keep up with another. I went from looking at my son and thinking "This is enough for me right now" to "ok, I feel like i'm getting into a groove...I think i'm ready" and now i'm anxious for #2. DS is SO LOVING with other kids. I really think he'd make a great big brother and I don't want there to be a huge gap between them. He will be 2 in less than a month so time is running out.

This is exactly how I feel about DD. For awhile I was like I'll never handle two! and now I'm like, yeah... I got this. So I've been thinking of TTC. For now I'll track cycles, take prenatals and eat really healthy until DH catches up on the baby train. lol

same here. my ah ha moment was when we were in a restaurant and this older boy at the table next to us started making funny faces at DS and making him laugh. i knew then that i couldn't wait to have another and for DS to be an older brother.

Re: btdt moms, how did you know you were ready to TTC?
I always knew I wanted more than 1, and that I want them not too far apart in age. My original plan was to start at the beginning of the year, but after BFing 16 months (not to mention the 9 I was pregnant, and the time before that I was TTC) I just really wanted a break and to let my body just be MINE for a while. To not worry about what I'm eating and to have a few drinks (finally! lol).
So now that I've been BF-free for almost a year, and DD just turned 2, I am definitely ready to give her a sibling

Re: btdt moms, how did you know you were ready to TTC?
I knew in my heart I was ready from around the time DC turned 1, but we decided to wait a little longer for a few important reasons. It just hit me one day that I needed to have at least 1 more, if not 2. I'm terrified, but the desire to have another child outweighs any sort of logistical fear I have.

Re: btdt moms, how did you know you were ready to TTC?
i clearly didn't read your post properly..
We always spoke about a second and third baby.. and if you would have asked me last year about another child, I would ran and sought cover since DD was not sleeping and I was pumping around the clock. But now that I've stopped pumping and got some sleep.. I've been mentally prepping myself..
