Back to back IUIs?
I had my first IUI this am and the RE suggested that I have a second IUI tomorrow am given that DHs mobility was in the 4 millions and they like to see a 5 million range. Is this a common practice? I've never heard of having it done twice!

Yes, every cycle we go back to back Not sure if it matters, but in my head I think we are doubling our chances each month

Back to back IUIs?
I had my 4th IUI today. My RE said my DHs sample was good so no need to do another IUI tomorrow. He said if something was low he would have us come back tomorrow. He said we should just BD tomorrow. Good luck!

Re: Back to back IUIs?
We had one month (1st IUI) where DH sperm count was 3 mill and we were told we could come back or just BD the next day. We chose the latter and we got a BFP that month. Too bad it didn't stick. Point being I don't think it truly matters and according to my RE it doesn't necessarily up your chances. To me it sure can't hurt. DH just hates giving a sample so for us BD is better
PS- just to show you it doesn't matter the next month we had 21 mill and never got a BFP. So it just takes one! Crazy huh!!

I just told DH that yesterday! Only takes 1! I'm leaving in a little for my next round. Fingers crossed this works! I'm really optimistic.

I've been having a tremendous amount of cramping today. Is this a normal occurrence after IUI?

4 out of 5 of my IUIs were b2b. The 1 where it wasn't, it was different dr in that day who didnt use the b2b protocol. I got pregnant that month with just the 1 IUI anyways but ended in a chemical.

I was lucky to get pregnant on my first IUI, but it was b2b and we also BD on the second night.

Re: Back to back IUIs?
There's actually no medical evidence that a B2B IUI is more effective than 1 really well-timed IUI.
I did a B2B that was a BFN. Then opted for 1 IUI at 36 hours post-trigger, and it worked the 2nd month.
Even if your husband's sample was low, a 2nd IUI will only "help" if you hadn't yet Oed.

Yes, cramping is normal. With my first IUI I had some cramping. Each IUI is different. With the IUI I had yesterday I have felt really fine. You will probably feel better by tomorrow. Getting extra BDing in can't hurt! We like to get in the day after IUI. Feel better.

My dr says this too. Unless your DHs sample is less than 10 million there's no reason for b2b IUIs.

Back to back IUIs?
DHs samples were 4.1 yesterday and then 3.8 today after the wash which could be why they suggested it b2b
