If you had low progesterone in past pregnancies...
Did your OB want to see you earlier with a new pregnancy? Im only about 4 weeks but Im a nervous wreck bc I had a mc last year and had very low progesterone. I was put on suppositories. My new ob doesn't want to see me until June 24. Should I push for earlier or call a diff dr. Or leave it the way it is

I don't have experience with low prog and this is my first pregnancy but if you are that worried push to come in earlier. Tell them you don't need to be examined but you would like your prog and HCG checked to make sure it is where it needs to be.

i had low progesterone with my last pregnancy that resulted in a loss. had the suppositories too. ob said it may have been low because it wasn't a viable pregnancy, but there was no real way to tell i think? i am seeing the same ob, and isn't making any special arrangements like seeing me earlier. i don't want to go through that suppository hell again - that was really tough on me, and i don't think i'd do it again.

Re: If you had low progesterone in past pregnancies...
I didn't have low progesterone with my last pregnancy but I do have short luteal phase--like 10 days or under, which is usually a progesterone issue. So with both my pregnancies, my doc did blood tests to check my levels before my first appt. I would push for this. If it's low, they can start you on supplements asap.

Re: If you had low progesterone in past pregnancies...
I have a problem with low progesterone but I did not know this until I found out from my RE not my OBGYN. I was on suppositories for my last few pregnancies...three of them early losses and with this one successfully. The odd thing to me was the nonviable pregnancies I had higher progesterone levels than I did with this one which I am currently 32 weeks pregnant. With nonviable my level was between 7 to 9 but with this one I was only at 4 and had to use injections along with suppositories. I see from your other post that you are seeing Oakdale OBGYN...I'm a former patient and not a fan...you have to be a real advocate for yourself with them because they have a lackluster attitude.

After reading not so great reviews about Oakdale obgyn I switched to Comprehensive in west Islip. They seemed so much nicer on then phone and is getting me in Monday to do a lab and consult. Hopefully it goes well
