Did anyone get pregnant specifically after having an HSG procedure

(Hysterosalpingogram)

I am having this procedure done this Fri. My Dr said that blocked fallopian tubes are a common cause of infertility. Just wondering if anyone else got pregnant right after having their tubes flushed out with the dye.

I don't know if it was a coincidence or not but I had an HSG in June of 2010 and got pregnant in July 2010. We had been trying since Oct 2009.

we had been trying since jan 2011
got that bfp dec 2011

hsg cd 9. tubes were clear

started opk cd 10

cd12 sono to check follies. had two mature 18 & 20

cd 14 got a on my opk

cd 15 iui

we also bd on cd 11 12 14 15 & 16

got a bfp with an ic 13dpiui, bfp with a digital 14dpiui

I had a cyst on my ovary - a little larger than a lime - the doc went in (through the belly button) and removed it. Now, he told me before that he was planning on doing what you're having done with my Fallopian tubes just to make sure they were OK as well - he said, if I'm already in there, why not? So, I said sure. So, I had that done along with the removal of my cyst - he also checked out my rectum God knows - he just wanted to make sure everything was in working order. I was told everything was good afterwards so that's all I needed lol. BTW, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis. Just so you know.

DH and I had been trying to get pregnant since July 2011. This was August 2012 when I finally admitted to myself that something wasn't right since we weren't conceiving over a year later, went and talked to the doc about it, and he discovered the cyst. He also sent DH for testing, me for testing, all sorts of blood work, etc. But he said that cyst has to come out immediately. So, at that point, August 2012 he put me in right away and I had the surgery (it was mid August).

Then, after that, I took a more holistic approach, I eliminated sugar from my diet almost completely and I started acupuncture for infertility and for the overall health of my uterus immediately after the surgery. I went to one acupuncture session every two weeks. I did this, got rid of the sugar, and just walked (I didn't want to do too much exercise) - I lost fifteen pounds and I wasn't really heavy, but it just slimmed me, toned me, and getting rid of the sugar got rid of so much excess bloat. It was remarkable - I felt so healthy. I was taking pre-natal vitamins all along.

We didn't "try" in August clearly because of the surgery - even though we could have - and then mid September we started trying again. I got pregnant in December 2012 - we are due this September 16th. Phew! We are very lucky, very blessed

Had HSG September 2nd, 2010
Found Blocked left tube. Ovulated from right side and Conceived on or about September 8th,2010.

Yes!! I got pg three days after my HSG, after trying for 13 months. I truly believe the HSG did the trick. My OB said there is some truth to this, pg rates are higher the three months after the procedure. Good luck!
