What breastpump to register for?
My husband & I are starting the whole registry process and its a bit overwhelming... anyway, what breastpump would you recommend. I have heard that Medela is the best but there are several to choose from. I plan to nurse and then pump when I go back to work so I will be doing both. Also, what is the best way to store the milk in the freezer? Thanks.

Check with your insurance company first. Most insurance companies will 100% cover your breast pump. It will be sent straight to your home.

I only used the Medela and found it to work well. I definitely recommend an electric pump vs. a manual.
But yeah, check with your insurance to see if they cover one.
Also, to help with the registering process, get the book Baby Bargains if you haven't already. It really put my mind at ease.

Me too. I had no issues at all (exclusively pumped for over a year). I used the milk storage bags either by BRU or Lansinoh, that was the easiest way for me to store milk in the freezer.

yes check with your insurance company first. but just an fyi medela is completely backed up because of this new insurance coverage. i was supposed to be sent my breast pump a month before my due date. it is now 5 days past my due date and it is still now shipped. luckily i haven't given birth yet. but i may have to end up renting from the hospital for a week or two depending on when they finally get their act together.
