Is this a chemical? UPDATE
Should I be worried? On 11dpo I saw a faint line on a wondfo, which kept got lighter at 12dpo. DH saw it as well. Yesterday, at 13dpo I started spotting with brown cm and now at 14dpo it seems that AF is coming, even though it is still brownish. Is this a chemical? I have never spotted like this before AF (especially the color that this is). Should I call my doctor or is this normal?
Update: AF is here, cramps and all - its definitely in full force now.

Re: Is this a chemical?
is it a lot of discharge? did you test again? If you are pg most likely you are discharging which is normal. Try testing again and see if the lines are getting darker. Good luck

I would wait and see - I would definitely retest, but if it changes over from spotting to a more AF like bleeding most likely it was a chemical.

Re: Is this a chemical?
Definitely test with a FRER - they are the most accurate. If they continue getting lighter, it's probably a chemical.
A chemical pregnancy is just defined as a very early miscarriage, i think anything before 5 weeks. Most women dont even know they are pregnant. I had a chemical last fall, i had no spotting. The only reason i knew i had a chemical is because i went in for CD3 bloodwork, my beta was 35.
However,...spotting before AF and in early pregnancy is definitnely normal and common, so unfortunately there is no way to tell for sure. it could go either way...
GOOD LUCK! i hope this is real for you and that you are having early preggo spotting!!!

Re: Is this a chemical?
Thanks ladies. I just checked and now and there is some red so looks like it is definitely AF is here. The good thing is I am just one day early and I have short cycles (25 days average) so hopefully can start trying again next month.
Do you think I should I call my doctor?

I don't think you need to, if you hadn't been trying and testing early you wouldn't have even known something was up... but still definitely retake a test - just because you see a little red, doesn't necessarily mean it's over.

Re: Is this a chemical?
May have been a chemical. Have you taken any tests since you noticed the line was getting lighter?
We're you on any meds that would have given you a false positive? Like HCG?

Nope, no meds. I took one before and it looked negative. I hate these wondfos, there are always these shadows on the test that you can never tell if they are lines or not.
