OPK newbie
I'm new to using the OPK. Any reason why I would get a smiley 4 days in a row? I though it only showed my two most fertile days...

I've gotten a smiley 3 days in a row, it could be that you tested at the absolute very beginning and very end of your surge.

Soo I obviously didn't understand the test. I did not realize that there were two types of smiley faces. The first is just the fertile time, which is a flashing smiley face. The second is your peak fertility which is a steady smiley face. DH and I BD'd a lot anyway so hopefully we got it but if not i guess I know better for next time

I know so crazy!!! I just uploaded a pic. Check it out. So the smiley in the middle has lines around it so I have been looking for that in addition to the plain smiley. It doesn't say anywhere in the directions that it means that the smiley will be flashing. I found a thread online with over 300 responses from other confused women who didn't understand why they were getting smiley faces for so long. I got a smiley for 10 days and finally stopped testing after I found this other blog. The smiley flashes as your hormone levels rise but stays steady for your best (peak) 4 fertile days. It was def. an expensive mistake and DH and I are exhausted lol

They are good in theory I guess but directions were not great for a newbie like me. Hopefully this clears it up for others who are thinking of using this test
