yard waste not being picked up

its a stupid question but my yard waste did not get picked up for the second week in a row.

im assuming because it is not tied together. what the men are not realizing is that the pieces are heavy on their own. and tying them together would make it more difficult. i carried it all out myself, so its not too cumbersome for them.

can i leave it out on the corner where it is for another week until i cut it up and make it smaller?

its on my property, i just dont feel like bringing it all back in the back yard again.

If your garbage men won't take it you can call for a special pickup and the town should send a truck out within a week or two. And often the stuff will be removed much earlier than that since I believe the Town tells people where special pickups are located and then most times a private person will come and pickup your stuff and try to make some money off of it.

Does your town have special rules about yard waste? I would call your local 311 and find out what the procedure is.

Re: yard waste not being picked up

i read it and its supposed to be tied up no more than 4 feet long and not to exceed 75 pounds.

its not tied up. but if they took a moment to look at it it shouldnt be. then it would weigh too much.

i am going to reposition it so they see that it is all separate pieces. i think they think it's just a huge pile of small pieces but its not.

they took the bags of leaves but not the branches. last time it was smaller brnaches so they were tied up, and they took those.

it just bothers me. there are three men on the truck. i took it out myself and it took 5 minutes from the back of my house ot the front to do all of it. they cant handle it?

yard waste not being picked up

We moved into our new home 3/30 and the old owner left branches. Our branches weren't picked up right away either, but then one day they were. A digger/scooper truck of some sort came to pick it up. Maybe they came on their own, maybe my dad our our neighbor called for us. I would call the town.
