My mom and dad: Grammy and Grandaddy

To me, growing up, my mom's parents were Grammy and Pop. To me, my Dad's parents were Grandma and Grandaddy. I was closest with Grammy from my mom's side and Grandaddy from my dad's so I want to use both and it works since Grammy was my mom's mother and Grandaddy was my dad's father.

For my IL's - SIL refers to them, with her son, as Grandma and Grandpa in Italian -- Nonni and Papi?? Not sure. Anyway, DH (these are his parents, mind you) doesn't like that. He's like, we are in America now, my father is an American citizen, no. I'm like ummm OK? B/c to me, who cares? So the jury is still out on that - it is his decision, not mine. We'll see!

My parents are Nana (or Nanny) and Papa.
