are movement and sleep patterns related?

ive heard conflicting things and assume will from here (not that you ladies are crazy, that we are all told things from our drs and it seems there is never a concensus)

if the baby is most active say 7pm-7am does this mean thats how it will be after birth?

ive heard this is the most common time for movement as we the mom are most active during 7am-7pm and that rocks them to sleep, but ive also heard that the schedule they have inside mirrors what they have on the outside

thoughts?

I recently posted about this on FB and got a lot of different answers. The majority seemed that everyone told me that their baby was the same inside the womb as outside. One girl made me feel better when she said her baby was SUPER active in the womb and is calm and collected outside the womb. Thinking back I think it more has to do with the nature of the mother. Everyone who said their baby is active and doesn't sleep through the night have similar parenting views from taking the baby out of the house to letting baby cry it out. I tend to be the "old school" way which is the same as the girl who said her baby is calm and collected.

I guess I just hope that's what he decides because he seems to be rocking and rolling ALL THE TIME!!!!

I don't remember enough about the specifics of when he moved to say there was or was not a correlation but maybe, DS is a great sleeper. He wasn't bouncing around my womb at night either -- seemed relatively quiet then. I think it's more about whether you get the kid on a schedule and how consistent you are with enforcing it that matters.
