Need Help--sleep related

DS is almost 8 months old and was always a good sleeper, but it seems like lately, he WILL NOT sleep! We have not changed our nighttime routine at all, and he is eating his three meals a day, with a bottle before falling asleep. He goes down at about 7pm, up at midnight for at least an hour, and then up at 3(if we are lucky because then we can get him back down, but usually he sleeps till 4 and then is UP for the day!!! )

What can we do to get him to sleep better??

The only thing that I have noticed is that when he wakes up the first time, he goes through at least 8 ounces, sometimes 10 ounces of milk...could he really be that hungry? He never seems overly hungry in the daytime, but does eat 3 times a day with bottles in between.

My son just did this for a couple weeks. I think he had a growth spurt. The only thing that made him happy was a bottle, and not any 2 ounces either--he wanted 6 ounces each time he woke.

So could it be a growth spurt?

It could be a growth spurt...but how long do they usually last?? This has been going on for a few weeks now...DH and I are getting so sleep deprived...
