Breech Babies/ ECV/ Scheduled C-Section
Hey guys, I'm 36 weeks preggers and was told that my baby is breech. My doc gave me the option of an ECV to "turn the baby" or C-Section the baby doesn't turn on it's own. Have any of you had experience with this? If so, can you share your input/thoughts on eith ECV or C. TIA

Re: Breech Babies/ ECV/ Scheduled C-Section
I would recommend seeing a chiropractor who uses the Webster Breech technique. My friend is a chiropractor & sees lots of pregnant patients. She has had lots of success with turning babies. It's more natural than the ecv and c-section.

My doctor wouldn't do an external version bc he felt it was too risky. I ended up w a CS bc my DS never turned.

I don't have any experience except from what I have heard about the ECV. I heard it hurts more then child birth but to ask for an epi if you get it done and then it's a little more tolerable.
Good luck!!! hope baby turns for you!

Re: Breech Babies/ ECV/ Scheduled C-Section
I am going through the same thing...36 weeks and breech.... he's been breech at every sono so I don't expect him to flip on his own. my OB doesn't like to do the version, so I'll probably schedule a csection, I just need to wrap my head around the idea.....

Re: Breech Babies/ ECV/ Scheduled C-Section
DD was frank breech (butt down, head and feet up). My ob didn't recommend a version because its a 50/50 shot on a good day and apparently they are really painful.
I tried the webster technique and it didn't work. DD wasn't moving. It did, however, make my sciatica disappear and my back feel a thousand times better. We scheduled a cs and I hoped and prayed until the day I went that she was going to turn. She never flipped. If you have any specific questions feel free to FM me.
