Anyone get cerclage?

When did you get it? I went into preterm labor with my DS but w/ bedrest and meds they were able to stop it and i went full term. This time we're trying to be proactive since im a SAHM i can't exactly be on bedrest this time around. We're moving at the end of May and my Dr. keeps telling me ill def need it, between 13-16 weeks is the best time to get it, but well see when we get there. I'll be 14 weeks by my next appt in 2 weeks - im not sure what we're waiting to see??? Dh cant just decide hes not working the next day to watch DS while im getting the procedure! Am i missing something??

I haven't had a cerclage but I have a history of 2 preterm deliveries and my doctor put me on weekly injections of 17P which I start tonight. It's progesterone injections that a visiting nurse comes to give me each week until 36 weeks to prevent preterm labor. Back to your cerclage question most OBs do them at 13 weeks.

i did 4 weeks ago, and i had an emergency cerclage done with my previous pregnancy, which resulted in a healthy baby boy.
i have been getting weekly 17P shots since 16 weeks, got my second one today. I had that with my son as well from weeks 16-36 weeks. Most OBs do them at 13 weeks, after the NT scan.
