Car seat
When do you plan on installing your car seat...the shower gifts are starting to take over my apt so we have been trying to set up as much as possible but I think it's too early for the car seat

my due date is a month from today and I haven't installed the car seat yet...... so I'm guessing it's too early for you

I asked my SIL this yesterday. Her and another friend told me a month before my due date I should have DH install the bases for the carseat so we'll wait another month when I hit 36 weeks.

last time I had it installed by a car seat tech when I was about 35 weeks. This time will probably do the same

We had ours installed the weekend before my due date (I would've done it earlier but couldn't get an appointment).

DH (aka the procrastinator) did it last week. I'm due in 6 days.
I wanted to have them in by 37 weeks.

I am due on Thursday and still haven't put it in! DH will likely do it while I am in the hospital!

we did ours 1 week before the due date. if it was up to me, i wouldve done it way before bc im a nut like that lol but DH handled it

I think it might be a little too early to set up the car seat but in all reality there are not real rules. Can your parents keep in in their place in the meantime?

Take it out of the box and leave it in the car/trunk until its ready to be installed. That's what we did b/c I was tired of looking at boxes.

Good idea...either this or gonna get the install over with...not like we use the backseat anyway

i dont remember exactly when i did it for my first DC but it was def. a few weeks before my due that if not earlier because i wanted it check by a car seat expert and glad i did cause it wasnt intalled right even though i followed exactly waht the book said. The person basically told me that the book wasnt really correct for my car.

At 35 weeks I'd like for it to be installed into both cars. I want enough time to install it and get it certified (or whatever it is when the police dept double checks to make sure it's installed properly).

This was posted 1 1/2 years ago but I'm sure some of the places still do it.
