Im not even sure where to post this.....
Hi Ladies I am not sure where to post this........I had a mc in September 2011 and then in August 2012 had an ectopic pregnancy and they had to remove my right fallopian tube.
In the back of my mind I think....what is God is trying to tell me something.....I already have a beautiful son who is 3. What if God doesn't think having another one is a good idea......
I guess my question is......what are the chances of getting pregnant again with 1 tube? We have been trying for 4 months on our own and nothing.....I am debating on going back to the fertility dr.
Thoughts? Comments? Im just torn and don't know what to do

Re: Im not even sure where to post this.....
I was told that with 1 tube your chances are actually the same. That the one tube can go back and forth - a sweeping motion to get the egg. That doesn't always happen though.
you can also think of it this way - if your ovaries take turns Oing (not always) you would have a chance every other month.
My Obgyn said pregnancy rate is the same with 1 or both tubes. If you are in more of a hurry to get pregnant, I'd then go to an RE who can prescribe meds to help you get there faster.
Best of Luck!

Just answered you on your other post. Chances are exactly the same! Your tube will move back and forth between the 2 ovaries. I had my tube removed and it only took me 2 cycles after the surgery to get preggo! I'm 13 weeks and baby is doing GREAT.

I had an ectopic in August 2012 also...we started trying again in October and I got pregnant that cycle and I'm 28 weeks pregnant. My doctors felt I shouldn't have any problem getting pregnant again because I had already had 2 children and my other tube looked fine. If you are concerned, go to a doctor, if not for anything other than your own peace of mind.

Re: Im not even sure where to post this.....
I was pregnant the cycle right after my ectopic (they removed my right tube). But, I didn't expect that to happen. Although the egg can be caught by the good tube if you ovulate from the "bad" side I read it's more rare. My doctor told me it may take a bit longer than usual, but the she expected to see me with good news within 6 months of the ectopic.
I don't think you should worry that another baby isn't meant for you!! People have miscarriges/ectopics and go on to have babies all the time. It will happen, just have faith Good luck!!!!

Re: Im not even sure where to post this.....
I actually had the same thing happen to me with no children. First a m/c, then a year later an ectopic and list my left tube. I felt the same way and thought I may never have children. I went on to have 2 successful pregnancies with good ole righty
I notice when I ovulate on the different sides and for me it go back and forth. So i always felt i had a 50-50 shot. I also found on a scan that my eggs on the left would just hang out (small little cysts) and My body absorbed them in time. Don't lose hope! God does have a plan for you just be patient.
