Refinance with Bethpage Credit Union
We are refinancing with them and have a couple of questions? When should I lock in my rate (i am justing finishing application) and if I pay out of pocket the property taxes do they give back escrow if there is an overage at the end of the year?

Refinance with Bethpage Credit Union
We have our mortgage through them and refinanced twice with them as well.
We did not lock our rate until the very last second because the rates were continuing to drop. You don't have to lock a rate until 2 days before you close if you don't want to.
They will give you your overage at the end of the year if you have extra in escrow.

The mortgage guy told me to fax over the rate lock in right away. Also, he told my husband before he had our numbers that it would take 70 days to close.

Best of luck as I have been trying to close with them for 3 months now. I did finally find a great girl and we did something different than the traditional refinance. I had so many problems with the loan officers not calling me back.
If you have any problems, let me know and I can tell you if they are the same people and who to deal with.
