Shower dress?

Where have you had success looking for a shower dress?

I'm nervous about ordering online because I wanna see how it looks in person first. Dresses are tricky with me because I'm 5' and I feel like anything that's too long looks frumpy- and most things are too long.

I bought a dress for a wedding at Destination Maternity but wasn't thrilled with the selection enough to go back there for my shower dress.

I ended up getting mine from a Pea in the Pod. Like you, i need to try on, so I ended up buying and returning 3 before settling on one. Chat Icon

Ohh this will be me. I am sure of it. Chat Icon

And I know I will be the one who picks something I love finally like 3 weeks before the shower .. go through some massive growth spurt, and decide two days before that I need something else. Just watch! Chat Icon

Re: Shower dress?

I am 5'2" and have some of the same problems. I ordered 2 from motherhood and they looked horrible. Ended up going to the store and driving the sales lady nuts for about an hour. Ended up with a long black skirt and a gray jessica simpson light short sleeve sweater. Not the most colorful but the only thing I was happy with. Good luck!

Shower dress?

I am like you. I am 5' and went CRAZY looking for a shower dress. I wanted a maxi dress and was scared that things would be too long because I'm so short. Once again, someone needs to come out with a petite maternity line. I checked EVERYWHERE!!!! I actually ended up ordering mine on pinkblush.com and LOVED it!!!! My shower was this past weekend and everyone LOVED it. I bought A LOT of dresses while trying to find the perfect dress. I returned a bunch and ended up keeping a bunch. Figured once May hits and I can't put my pants on anymore because I can't bend, I'm going to live in dresses.

Re: Shower dress?

I went to motherhood. The dress I wound up with I never would have picked out, the sales lady insisted I try it.

I tried a couple of maxi dresses but I just looked....frumpy in them. I don't know if I'm not tall enough or I'm not used to them or what.

Re: Shower dress?

I am also 5 ft tall and had a heck of a time finding a dress. I hate shopping too which doesn't help. My mom bought me so many dresses and shipped them to my house and we returned all but one. I ended up getting my shower dress at Motherhood in the Riverhead outlet. It wasn't easy though and it is such a relief that it is done. It is so hard to find maternity dresses for short people!

Shower dress?

Try ASOS. It's free shipping each way. I bought 2 different sizes of 2 different dresses to see what fits. The dress I got wasn't super long either. It was a nice length.

Re: Shower dress?

I am having the same problem. I tried motherhood, a pea in a pod, loft, and rosie pope. Nothing I like is available in my size.

I finally found something from loft and I figured let me just order it and if I like it I will have it altered to fit, but their payment site isn't working right so I can't even order it...
