contractions? what do they really feel like?
how would you describe them?

contractions? what do they really feel like?
Mine felt like intense period cramps and they had a clear beginning and ending.

Mine felt like someone was taking the lower part of my uterus, and twisting it with more and more intensity until it was unbearable, and then it would subside. Almost like my uterus was getting an indian burn.
I was on Pitocin though, which apparently causes contractions to come on much harder and stronger.

This but for me it was mostly in my back and worked its way to the front. I also felt like I had to poop but couldn't.

Same...it helped that my water broke before hand so there was no question that I was in labor!

I remembering googling "what do contractions feel like" when I was due with DS. Let me just say you will know that they're them when y ou have them  It literally woke me up and I remember saying "that's different" hahahahahaha.
So they feel like twisting and a pulling - sort of like an intense period cramp. I'm the worst with pain and I can honestly say it isn't too bad :) I started with my contractions at 8:30 in the morning and didn't get an epidural until 2pm. I men it sucked but thankfully you can rest in between!

It felt as if my tailbone was was being twisted and pulled out of my lower back. Also had a clear beginning and an end

i was in pre-term labor and didnt even know bc it felt like just slight period cramps! but once i was in full on labor it felt like real intense period cramps
