Weird appetite issues....
This may not sound like an issue but anyways for the last few weeks my appetite has been so strange. I can only eat very limited foods without feeling sick, but I also don't have much of an appetite. At all. Until BAM it will hit me and I will be starving and shaky and nauseous all at once. I try to nibble throughout the day but I can't - I feel SO full the majority of the time it hurts to eat. But then the intense hunger comes out of nowhere! Like now, on a normal day for me (I work at a school) lunch is around 11:15. I wasn't hungry, so I haven't eaten yet. Still not hungry and the idea of food repulses me but I know that soon I'm going to feel so hungry it makes me sick. Has anyone else gone through this? Did it pass? What did you do to get through it?

Re: Weird appetite issues....
Until week 15 I basically ate because I had to and I never enjoyed it.
It's tough because if you're still having MS the things that probably help the most (or do the least amont of harm), are carbs which typically fill you up quickly but provide no real nurishment.
Even if it's a banana or some type of fruit here and there.
Regarding the shakes, it sounds like your blood sugar drops to low at that point. Eat small SMALL "meals" and keep hydrated.

I've been able to eat without a lot of issues or food aversions, and try to snack throughout the whole day because I will all of a sudden get a hunger attack and feel nauseous and crappy. I try to eat a snack in between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner, and I always grab a handful of crackers and try to eat them when lunch is coming up to prevent the hunger attack

Re: Weird appetite issues....
That's exactly how I was from week 6 to 18. I tried to force myself to eat small snacks, like crackers, goldfish or pretzels, even when I wasn't hungry, to avoid that sudden starvation. Because that was even worse than the nausea.
