It used to bother me, but now I don't care. I take good care of my skin and I know that in 10-20 years I won't look like a dried up leathery hag who tanned too much

I am super pale and used to tan like crazy so I'd be a "normal" shade. I admit, I do miss it but I stopped due to worry over skin cancer and wrinkles. I hate showing my legs unless I spray tan or at the very least put on the sally hansen stuff.
I try to embrace it as much as I can but I do miss how I looked when I see pics of me from my tanning days. I never looked like Snookie or anything, I just looked healthy (although it's about as far from it as you can get).
I also find it highly offensive and ignorant when people comment on my paleness. I usually give them a dirty look and say "Yeah, I'm really not a big fan of cancer". It amazes me that in this day and age people will still comment on such a thing. I mean, who doesn't know that the sun isn't good for you?

I'm very pale & would love to have more of a tan, but I'm not willing to go tanning & I can't be bothered with the tanning lotions, etc. I'm not self-conscious about it, I'm used to it. Sometimes I think my legs look kinda gross when I wear shorts or a skirt, but it doesn't bother me.

It is what it is. I've learned to just accept it. Tanning (indoor) is expensive and indoor and outdoor is just bad! I burn so easily its not even worth it.
I wear shorts and don't really care!
I just wish sometimes I could wear yellow and some lighter colors.

I embrace my paleness. Im Italisn too and casper white. When someone says something, I return with "skin cancer is uglier than my paleness".
