I'm only 16 weeks and yesterday after work my feet were swollen. I have a desk job. Is this normal?

Re: swollen feet

I think it's normal try to stand up every once in a while to walk for a bit. Also when you get home try to keep your legs lifted and level it with your heart so your blood can circulate better and keep drinking water.

My feet swelled up last week and I asked my doctor if it was normal. She said it was

Me too. I am 16 weeks too and I noticed last night when I came home and took off my shoes. They look puffy and I wear comfortable shoes Chat Icon I am a little confused.
I go to my OB this evening so I am hoping that its not my BP because that can cause it.

Yeah. I asked one of coworkers since she used to be a nurse. She thinks its all the salty food I'm eating. I'm gonna try to avoid those foods and see if that helps. I got worried yesterday.

The woman who is pregnant in my office is experiencing this already. Her doctor said it was related to too much sitting, too much walking (yeah I didn't get it either since thos ethings seem to be contradictory) and the shoes she wore. The doctor actually told her to stop wearing flats with no support and encouraged her to wear a 2" heel or supportive sneakers, etc...

Definitely from sitting too long. Take little walks in between. Also, can you rig something up under your desk that you can prop your feet on?

Try to get up and walk around a bit and put a box under your desk to put your feet up on. I had someone bring me one of those boxes that paper comes in.
