Doppler

I'm thinking about buying a Doppler. I had 2 miscarriages and is nervous. Do you think it is worth it? Do you I'll drive myself crazy using it? Is it easy to work?

I think it depends on the person you are if you should get a doppler. When you find the heartbeat right away it's AWESOME and relieving. When you don't, it's rough and you an start to panic. There has only been one time where it took us 10 minutes to find the heartbeat and it was the longest 10 minutes of our lives. I was only using it once a week but now I use it if I go an entire day without feeling LO move.

When LO is small they tend to run away from the monitor so it's harder to find. I like the option of having one but if we did it all over again I probably wouldn't have gotten one. Honestly, it was a Groupon and that's why I actually did buy it.

Re: Doppler

I two suffered two miscarriages and having a Doppler gave me much comfort until I was able to feel this LO move. I have an old one that my BF gave me after she had her DD. Once I figured out where this little guy was, I was able to locate HB pretty quickly and easily ( I checked basically every other day).

I had experience from my first DS so I knew the sound I was looking for and that I most likely wouldn't hear anything until week 11. This little guy I heard in week 10 and it was pretty much right on my pubic bone. As time went on it moved up above my pubic bone. I think the longest I ever searched was for a minute, and yes it can seem like the longest minute of your life, but IMO it gave me great piece of mind for many weeks and between Dr. appointments.
