Re: During your "fertile Period" ....
Do you use opk's or temp?
What do you mean by "fertile period"?
ETA - I use the digital OPK's and discovered that for the past few months I've actually been Oing almost a week later than I though. So if you're not, I suggest trying the OPK's out for a month or two so you can get a better idea of exactly when you're Oing (even though it's still not an exact science).

Here are two good links to look at. Some ladies use fertility friend too. Or you can google fertility calculator and see if you find something you like. Usually, with a 28 day cycle, you would O on day 14.
Did you use an opk? Or temping?

Right now I've only been monitoring my ovulation via an ovulation calculator. I really haven't been temping as of yet.
By fertile period I mean the time on the calaendar when they say are your "most fertile days" ,....

It really depends. Not everyone has the same O date or Luteal Phase. For instance, I have irregular cycles but consistently O 11 days before AF shows. I use CBEFM to tell me when O is going to happen and temping to confirm it (although I've been sloppy with temping lately).

There is really no way to know. Like I said, I discovered that I was actually O'ing almost a week after FF said I was "fertile", so it could be accurate, it could be completely off.
At the very least start using OPK's to get an idea of when you O and how long your LP is. The digitals are really simple to use.

What the calendar says are your most fertile days is really just a guess based off of your previous cycles. If you have a very long LP or a very short LP, it will change your fertile days.

Check ebay for used monitors since they are pretty expensive.

you can also buy a pack of 100 opks and 100 hpts by wondfos from amazon for about $20. I used the wondfos for both and they are just as sensitive as the CBE and FRER. Got them 2 days after I ordered them :)
Best of luck to you :)
