Anyone else just have less patience
Maybe its not because I'm pregnant but I'd like to think I'm not always like this.
I feel so guilty for being so short tempered lately, after the tragedy in Boston and seeing people suffer, I really should not get upset/mad over small stuff. Because its really just small stuff.
I also feel guilty because this negative energy is not what I want the baby to feel...I've just been letting all the small stuff get to me!
Anyone else?

Re: Anyone else just have less patience
I have no patience for lots of things too lately. I've been shopping online more than I ever have before simply because I have no patience for stores and crowds (and you're talking to the girl who shops black friday deals in store, etc .. .I usually couldn't care less about how big a crowd is!! )
I think pregnancy also highlights what's really important in my life and makes me less in the mood to deal with BS drama. I had some friends who were pretty toxic in my life and decided when I got pregnant it was time to just set them free and I'm so much happier not dealing with them and consistently having my feelings hurt for no reason.
You do what you need to do .. but yeah.. I definitely agree that pregnancy has made me less tolerant of the bu!lshit

Re: Anyone else just have less patience
YES....DH says calls me a snapping turtle. I didn't realize how my tone was coming across but DH also has a habit of loosing his keys, wallet, etc...everyday and expects me to know where they are. I also find many people irritating these days, when in the past I would just pretty much tune them out, I now plot their slow and painful demise. Another woman I work with who has always been pleasant and easy going had no patience while pregnant. I guess growing another human changes us into far less tolerant ones.

Yep! I have a very short fuse. But with some things I think (and I say think) i was too easy going about and now I have no problem speaking up.

Re: Anyone else just have less patience
I am a ticking time bomb! I am at the point where anything sets me off in a rant! I sell car insurance and I have been not in the mood to talk to my customers lately..that's never been the case The way this world is right now with everything going on I feel very bad bringing my baby into this mess!! You can't even enjoy a marathon without some terrorist trying to kill us... I guess I feel like this because of stress too

Anyone else just have less patience
My patience is wearing thin, but funnily enough I'm calmer than ever now that I'm pregnant. I just don't have the energy or desire to get worked up.

Anyone else just have less patience
I have an extremely short fuse these days and find more often than not, I wish I had the days to do-over. I get easily frustrated with DS and I don't handle my frustrations well. Then I feel beyond guilty and cry over it. Then I start questioning how I will be able to handle 2 and if I'm doing the right thing.
I'm also losing it with one of my supervisees - who ironically is also pregnant. I find that she is complaining alot lately -- about work, her clients, how she feels etc. She's about 22-23 weeks now. Her job involves mostly field work so it is very physical -- up and down subway stairs, visiting clients whose elevators aren't working, walking from subways to their homes, etc. I was doing that job myself when I was PG with DS. I recognize that every pregnancy is different and I had it easy -- I KNOW I did. However it is still irritating me beyond belief. You'd think I'd have more symptahy for her. Initially I did. But now it's the opposite and I think it's because she is one of those people who are constantly talking about her pregnancy and not just a mention here and there. She's harping over the same thing all day. I've been doing my best to remain compassionate and understanding when I speak to her because I'm one of 2 women in the office who are mothers and who actually understand. But then I bristle behind the scenes.

Anyone else just have less patience
I always have a short fuse to begin with but I usually mumble it under my breath. Being pregnant, I say it out loud to people instead and give more dirty looks. "Lady with a baby" is all I want to yell out in stores so people stop hitting me with their bags or walking into me!

Re: Anyone else just have less patience
My patience is wearing sooooooo thin. I was just saying that to myself this morning when my dog was getting really excited about his walk and it was really ticking me off. I took a deep breath and gave him a hug and off we went.

Re: Anyone else just have less patience
Yes, especially with my DS and I feel sooooo guilty because of it. By the time his bedtime rolls around, I am just so tired and out of patience. Only 5 weeks to go!!!

Re: Anyone else just have less patience
YES!!!! and same as others especially around my toddler. . I mean they try your patience in general and mine is really well behaved but sometimes I can lose it so quick, like blood pressure through the roof and need to calm myself back down. . usually I am able to do that luckily but I get irritated so quickly that I panic I will be such a bad mom with two!
