hi everyone! i am pretty new here but have been using this board as a resource to get lots and lots of info. i wish you all the best in your journeys!

for background, i have PCOS and have always had really high prolactin levels. last year i had surgery to remove a pituitary tumor that was the main cause of my increased prolactin levels but post-surgery my levels are still too high. i am taking cabergoline to try to get my levels into the normal range and most recently my prolactin was around 40. my RE had me on provera which didnt cause me to get AF so we then moved onto clomid anyway. i did 100MG of clomid and had no response and after my most recent bloodwork my RE thinks i may also have hypothalamic amenorrhea (sp?). she said if that was the case i probably wouldnt respond to oral medication.

my RE recommended either (1) try to get prolactin down to normal level (below 23) and then try clomid again, (2) increase clomid levels, (3) try femara, or (4) try injectables either with IUI at a very low dose or with IVF.

i am totally confused as to what to do, so i thought i would put this out there and see if anyone else was in a similar boat or had any experience with this combo of symptoms.

thanks for reading my long story!
