Stony Brook Tour Spinoff
Do you know if the hospital has a sibling class/tour? And if so, is it appropriate for a 5 and 6 year old? My girls are very anxious about me going to the hospital, even though they know why I will be going, because I had an ectopic back in August and was in and out of the hospital for days with no warning and eventually had surgery. I would love for them to get to see the hospital in a positive light before I go in to give birth.

They do. I believe you call 444-4000 for the info. I took my 3.5yo DD to it in 2010 and she was the only one but she got familiar with the postpartum unit, got to diaper her baby doll. The nurse was wonderful with her. I'm sure they would tailor it to older children and help answer their questions and let them know what to expect.

We went in 2010 also. DS was 2 1/2. But the other siblings there that day really ranged in age. I thought it was Great!!!

I def want to do this! I am going in for a csection 5/21. When should I do the sibling class? I heard they are every wednesday.
