what did you wash before baby?
things like the car seat cover, the swing cover, the rock n play cover etc. did you put all those things in the washing machine?

I washed everything you mentioned. I washed them on either the hand wash or delicate cycle.

I never washed that stuff before baby. I just washed towels, blankets, and clothes.

I washed anything that would touch his skin in the washing machine. I washed it on the regular cycle with free and clear detergent.

I washed everything I could. Anything that would touch the baby got washed as indicated on its label. The car seat cover, sheets, towels, blankets, all clothing, baby seat covers, activity mat. You name it, it went in the wash with all free and clear detergent. I can only imagine how many loads I did. I'll do the same this time. Everything that is left from DS will get cleaned thoroughly before it touches the twins. Once we are done with the painting of the nursery I will start. Right now I have no where to put anything. Make sure you read labels closely. A lot of things get hung up to dry and washed on a very gentle cycle.
