More Disney questions

I'd love to take DS before he turns 3. I am thinking of going labor day week but only from Wednesday night until Saturday night.

Here are my questions:

-Will 3 full days there be enough?

-Do I need to do the hopper pass? I plan on taking my parents too (they've never been to Disney) and I will probably be paying for their park tickets so trying to keep the cost as low as possible.

-Should I do the meal plan?

3 full days is enough, in my mind. I would probably do two days at Magic Kingdom and then decide between Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. The park hopper would come into play if you were interested in doing more then that. Like maybe a full day at MK. Then a morning at AK, then evening at Epcot for dinner and fireworks. Then the day at HS and then maybe ack to MK for nothing you missed. It really depends how much running around you want to do and how much our DC can stand. One park a day is plenty for my boys.
As for the meal plan, we don't stay on property, so I really can't advise.
