Btdt moms....your postpartum body
I'm not sure here to post this but am hoping some btdt moms can help... I know it takes time to lose the baby weight, but I didn't realize other things don't go back to size right away. My wedding band and engagement rings still don't fit (I'm 6w pp) and my shoes don't fit either. Do your fingers and feet ever go back to their original size or do I need to get my rings resized and buy new shoes? My concern is more with the rings bc I don't want to resize them then my fingers get smaller Anyone have the same problem?

Btdt moms....your postpartum body
After dd#1 my shoes and rings didnt fit. My feet stayed the bigger size and after months I got my rings resized. I would wait a while to buy new shoes and resize b/c youre only 6 weeks out. You could still have some swelling going on. I just bought a pair of sneakers to hold me over but they still haven't gone back after 3 yrs so I've been building my shoes again. Give it a few more weeks and see what happens. Now after baby #2 who is almost 2 weeks old I'm pretty sure everything is the same. I still swell sometimes so I'm not buying anything for a few weeks.

Btdt moms....your postpartum body
My feet went back to normal right away.
It took about 3 months for my rings to fit again. I'm 4.5mo PP and my rings are a little tight but they fit.

My feet went up one whole size during both pregnancies and returned to normal a week later.
My rings fit by 4 weeks pp.

Re: Btdt moms....your postpartum body
Some days i have a hard time putting on my rings, but 8 months pp i'd say they are almost back to normal. (but now im preggo again so im sure i will be taking them off soon!) My feet only grew a half size with my 2nd pregnancy. They are now back to my original size.

Re: Btdt moms....your postpartum body
My feet went right back after the bloating went down, it was my fingers that didn't. My rings never fit again after #1. I had them re-sized in early December '12 (22 months PP) and got pregnant with #2 two weeks later

Re: Btdt moms....your postpartum body
I don't remember the length of time but I'm still in the same shoe and ring size.
I would wait a bit longer because your body needs time to heal and like u said u don't want to change your ring only to have to change it again later.

Re: Btdt moms....your postpartum body
Everything went back to normal eventually for me except for my belly button which stretched out. 6 weeks is still very early, give it time....

Give it some time. I lost all my weight by 10 weeks I think but it took a while to feel normal again. My body is shaped differently but my rings and feet are back to normal.

Re: Btdt moms....your postpartum body
I was very swollen for a good 2 months after having ds. It definitely takes some time to get back to "normal" and everyone bounces back at a different speed.

My feet did not go back. I went up half a size with each pregnancy. My rings finally fit again...I'd say about 10 months after delivery.

Give yourself more time. 6 weeks is not enough. I would say it took a few months for me to have my rings and all my shoes fit me again.

Re: Btdt moms....your postpartum body
My feet stayed bigger after my first daughter. Before she was born I was a 10wide or 11. Now I'm a 12! I just had a second baby and thank goodness my feet didn't grow. I would have to wear shoe boxes on my feet!

Btdt moms....your postpartum body
My feet went back but, my fingers haven't (I'm one year pp my second DS).
6 weeks is kind of soon though - I'd wait a little while before resizing your rings.

Re: Btdt moms....your postpartum body
Feet dont go back. Atleast they didnt for me. Boobs will once you stop nursing/producing milk. I didnt have the problem with my rings either time. Your actual body never goes "back" to the way it was. But it gets better in a few months.

Re: Btdt moms....your postpartum body
My feet never went back...I was a size 7 before and now am a size 8 (praying my feet dont change AGAIN this pregnancy)
My fingers took awhile, didn't change so I got my rings resized so far I've been wearing them this pregnancy and hope I don't have problems with that again!

Re: Btdt moms....your postpartum body
it took me about a year to get completely back to normal. my feet & hands took about 6-8 weeks to be able to wear any shoe i wanted and put my wedding rings on. the weight gradually came off (i gained 50lbs) and i shed the last 15lbs doing a diet. i also experienced weird things - my hair fell out in clumps until for the first 7 months after ds was born. my nails that were always long and strong - broken and brittle for almost 10 months after birth. the only suggestion i can give is to give yourself time. time worked for me.

Re: Btdt moms....your postpartum body
I had DD over a year ago and my rings still don't fit. Oddly enough they fit fine up until 9 months pg and it wasn't until AFTER I gave birth that they stopped fitting.
So I wouldn't do anything with your rings for a while, because every body is different.
My feet didn't change so I can't help with that.

My shoe size changed for good. I went up a whole size after 2 pregancies.
My rings fit about 10 weeks out after number 1, and about 15 weeks with number 2.
