do u even think this is possible?
Ya know how when you tell people you are preggo the stories just keep coming and get better and better...well...Today a girl told me that her friend was told she was having 1 and when she went into labor 2 more popped out. She claims they were behind one another. Ok, me....I kinda think its funny that a dr would miss this...but do you think this is made up??? I mean with todays technology...I just cant see it!

Even if somehow both the technician and doctor missed the other baby on all the sonos, they would have picked up the second heart beat right away so may be that friend she was talking about is 60 years old and gave birth 40 years ago. Then it would have been possible

I don't think its possible nowadays, but I'm no expert. I know when we had the first sono at almost 6 weeks they thought they saw 2 (one was behind the other) but by the time we went for the level II they said they were sure there was only one in there!!

2 more babies...not one...equalling three! Could u imagine! I dont even know if they would miss that 40 yrs ago!

My aunt has 34 year old twins and didnt know she was having them until the second one popped out. My mother had to call where she ordered her layette and say "Make that two!" Years ago, I'm sure it was possible to miss. But now? I find that difficult to believe.

My dad is a twin, and my grandma had no idea, but that was so 60 years ago, when all they used were stethoscopes.
So she found out giving birth to them.
Now, not sure, I would say with the technology that how can you miss it, but I guess sometimes they can be behind one another in a sono pic??
