double stroller is making me confused!

Hi everyone!

I am expectoing a new baby in september. this whole double stroller purchase is confusing to me!!! I was hoping someone could help me understand how they work. Obviously the new baby will be in a carrier and my 2 yr old is in a regular stroller. Do they sell anything that accomodated a carrier/regular seat stroller then turns into 2 regular seat strollers? I dont even know how to explain my question. I am hoiping someone understands me!!

Yes! I have 2 double strollers. The chicco cortina (front & back seats) you can put the carseat in one of stroller seats. When your DC grows out of needing the support from the carseat you just use the stroller as is. I actually put my DD in my city mini double baby jogger at a slight reclined position when she was 3 months old (side to side seating). She did well, i barely used the cortina stroller! Baby jogger is much lighter! HTH!

They have tons of options that do that. It's overwhelming.

We haev the City Mini double and I used the carseat adapter until DS 2 was 6 months.

I would go to Buy Buy Baby and look and test them out and see what works best for you.

we have double strollers because of twins, but most of the brands/styles I saw sold an adapter that would allow you to use it with the infant car seat (i think this is what you mean by carrier). This way you can snap in the carrier into one seat, and have your older child just sitting in the regular stroller seat.

I'd figure out a few strollers you like, then just see if the additional piece is available.

We have a city select, and I think all the "city" baby jogger strollers sell this attachment just as an FYI.
