spinoff to blinds-cellular shades?

DH and I are in a disagreement. We want to do cellular shades for the house and I want to do a different color for each room. He wants to do all one color for the whole house and says that I am wrong because 'people don't do that.'
am i in the minority here????
i just feel like it will be so boring to have all one color throughout the whole house.

We are doing the same colors, an off white. I am going to put up curtains as well and that will bring the color in. I would be too afraid to commit to a color because it is a big investment and if I change the colors in my room I don't want to have to change the blinds too.

If you're going to do a neutral color you can certainly do the same color in every room.

We chose one color of (black-out) shades for the bedrooms, another for the hallway and den windows, and another for the kitchen. All very neutral, but I didn't want to do the same in each room. But you can do anything you want - people do it both ways.

We did the Hunter Douglas Silhouettes and Pirouettes throughout our hose and each room has a different color

I have different colors in every room. DS's room is a dark blue which I love. Our office is chocolate brown. and living and dining room is a beige shade that goes with the wall color.
