When did you stop baby food?

DS is 18 months (15 months adjusted). He loves to eat. Never had a problem with baby food but now at home he eats mostly table food. Daycare still wants me to provide jarred food for him until 2. But I see no reason to provide jarred food when he will eat table food. Table Food is covered in tuition.
They have made me feel like I am rushing him to table food.

Baby food until 2?? That doesn't seem right at all. Sounds like they are trying to get away with spending as little as possible on table food. My twins were definitely off all baby food by 18 months and Im pretty sure they were completely off by 15 months too. That sounds pretty shady on their part.

DS just turned one and has been off baby food for a couple of months. Occasionally we will give him a fruit pouch if we are out and on the go but that's it. In his case once he got the taste of table food he refused most purees. I agree with PP that it doesnt sound right to me. You are the mom and if you feel LO should be off baby food that is your call. Especially when you are not rushing at all!

DS has been off baby food since before a year old, not to say we never gave the occasional jarred food after that but it has been mostly table food since then and now at 17m never eats jarred food.

My DS was off by 12 months and at daycare he was not allowed to move up to the next room 12-18m until he was on table food.

If daycare wants you to send in food I would send in table food not jarred baby food.

Jarred food until 2 sounds ridiculous! At 9 months, my DD is having a combination of jarred foods and table foods. I think she'll be mostly on table foods in the next month or so.

Totally off pureed food by a year if not before. I made my own food and I made him table food and sent it in. I would be pissed and question the motives of requiring jarred food until 2. Seems to me they just want to feed them as fast as possible. That would send off red flags. There is no reason for a 2 year old to be eating jarred food. I would refuse. JMHO.

My kids would refuse it at 14 months.

DS started re eating it when the baby started eating it.

Some jars of baby food have very healthy stuff in them. I use the veggie and fruit ones to get in stuff that the kids aren't fond of eating otherwise. The oatmeal fruit ones are pretty good too.

I think the daycare request is a bit odd... But I'd go along with it if it's the only thing you have a problem with.

DD eats mainly table food now at 11 months. The only exception is a pouch sometimes with lunch or as a snack.

Dd is 18 months old. she still eats fruit/yogurt pouches. she also eats meat jars such as chicken...only reason being she will not eat meat unless it's ground which I make 1-2x per week. I'm not thrilled but it coyld be worse.

10 months, completely table food. Puréed occasionally if she's sick.

My twins are 17 months & also off of baby food. I only use the vegtables because can't seem to get them to eat any other way

We stopped at a year. That seems odd. Daycare wanted him self feeding table food as soon as possible.

DD was on table food by 10 months because she started refusing the purees.

I agree..something doesn't sound right. When DS was in daycare, they wanted him to start table food early, like 8 months or so, pediatrician was on board, so we did..both my kids were off jars before 1, prob around 10 months. As a former daycare director, something sounds off with them saying 2. I would ask your pediatrician what they think of that.

Baby jar food until 2? That's sounds soo strange to me. Either they are lazy or they are afraid of kids choking. My dd will be 10 months next week and eats mostly table food. She takes baby food fruit with breakfast some days but mostly she eats whatever we are eating.

My dd never ate jarred baby food and was eating table food fully by 9 months. 2 years eating jar baby food seems a bit on the long side imo unless reccomended by a dr or nutritionist.

We never did baby foods at all, ever. My kids went straight to table foods at 6-7 months old. Baby foods till 2 sounds crazy to me, since its completely pointless in the first place. If your child has no problems with table foods then stopping baby foods now makes more sense.

DS 1 was still eating some purees up until about 15 mos or so. DS 2 was done by 11 months.
