MAD!

So as you know- I took the 3 hour GD test on Thursday, 8/31. My doctor told me SHE would call me yesterday the LATEST- the nurse said I should have results back the NEXT DAY.

So here it is Wednesday- and NOTHING.

I am really IRATE. I have left messages with everyone the nurse, the doctor, the "results line" and nothing.

at this point, I really want to switch doctors- but I don't know what to do... I want to stay delivering at Beth Israel- so how do I go about finding a doc w/ privs there?

I also HATE going to docs on a non-referral basis- that's worse!

Re: MAD!

I would go with the old adage that says...No news is good news!

If there was a problem, they would have called you asap!!

I agree with No news is good news!
I dont remember how far along you are but if you are far along 20+ or more...I wouldnt necessarily change drs unless there were very specific problems. Sometimes the labs are the problem and the results arent in. If you still feel the need to change maybe go on parenting and post for a new OB/GYN. Perhaps someone knows of a good one. Thats how I got mine but I switched at 6 weeks. Now I am 28 weeks and so so happy I switched!

Re: MAD!

i switched drs at 31 weeks.....it was a little scary but I am SO SO SO HAPPY I did it - we love the new dr and they really know us so much more! Its worth it to try and talk to your dr first and let them know your feelings and concerns (remember - you have every right to feel this way - you pay them! Chat Icon ) and then if it doesn't get resolved (or as in my case, they don't call back in a timely manner or seem to care!) - then, look into switching! Your pregnancy should be a wonderful experience...not one you are stressed over! good luck and if you need support, fm me!! Chat Icon Chat Icon
