Re: Zofran and b6
I have taken zofran since week 9. I am now 31 weeks. I take one pill at night and it helped me a TON. It made me drowsy when I took it during the day so I only take the one before bed. Nothing to be afraid of.

Re: Zofran and b6
I was given Zofran but refused to take it. B6 did nothing. I toughed it out. It wasn't pleasant, and there were days I felt I lived in the bathroom, but overall I could handle it. I researched Zofran and personally was not comfortable taking it.

If you feel like it would help, then take it. But maybe try some natural remedies too.

Re: Zofran and b6
I am 30 weeks and have taken zofran for both my pregnancys and I am currently taking it now since 8 weeks. My 1st DD was born perfectly healthy and the only side effect I had was constipation. I would not be here at work if I didnt take it. I was in the hospital twice from not being able to hold anything down. Zofran is the only thing that allowed me to eat and get nutrients. I have Gravidum Hypermesis so my MS is really horrible. I only need to take 1 4mg pill at night and that is it. I dont know what I would do with out it.

I took Zofran. I usually would only take it when I was sick in the AM and had to get on the train. Once I was at work I didn't care if I got sick since I was near a batheroom. I do not think I would have made it through commuting without it.

Re: Zofran and b6
I went the non Rx method that the dr. recommended (Unisom and B6). If the Unisom didn't work I would have taken the Zofran. My dr. was worried that I was going to get dehydrated and wind up in the hospital. Honestly that scared me right into taking the meds. That and being unable to take care of my 2 1/2 year old. I am 22 weeks tomorrow and still taking it but I am pregnant with twins and that often intensifies morning sickness

I have hg and I'm on reglan and zofran 3x daily and take unison and b6 at night. I'm 34w and lo is perfect no complications. Do what you are most comfortable with. If I didn't take them I'd be throwing up morning, noon and night and be back in the hospital. Good luck.

Re: Zofran and b6
B6 didn't help at all. I was on zofran my entire pregnancy. I would take it once at night and it would get me through the next day. J would also have never been able to function without it. I had morning sickness 24/7.

First....DON'T GOOGLE!!!!! If you google everything you will drive yourself insane throughout your pregnancy. Also, don't really look at the side effects listed. The way that side effects get listed is that ONLY ONE PERSON HAS TO COMPLAIN and they have to put it on the label.
I also had HG and it was TERRIBLE! I was in the hospital 3 times for dehydration until they finally put me on the pump. If you think you can tough it out then try that. If you want to try other things, then try the home remedies too (they usually consist of bland diet, water with lemon, ginger pops, etc). Actually my nutritionist told me that when you have MS sometimes water makes it worse...try to mix like half water and half cranberry juice or anything else you want to drink. If nothing seems to be working and you are still sick, then I would go over to the zofran. You have to think what is best for your baby...POSSIBLE, UNCOMMON side effects OR NOT getting enough nutrients because you are throwing up. There are definitely things you can try before the medication, for me though the zofran pump was the only thing that kept me out of the hospital and I had it until 16 weeks and finally at 26 weeks I'm feeling about 85% better.
