How long does it take to Refinance?
It seems like forever for us. We started the process in January and they are still telling us they need verification of my dh's employment when I have sent them numerous times a years worth of pay stubs, an employment history of 2 years, W2's from 2 years and a letterhead signed by him.
I am using my own credit union too and I am getting annoyed as I have had 4 loan officers who don't talk to one another either so no communication at all.

I think it took us about 6 weeks? We used the HARP program and it was all through the same bank as the original mortgage, which may have made it easier. Hope it works out for you.

We closed with BFCU inside 45 days (rate lock was expiring) last April.

We just got clear to close yesterday when I called to yell because we weren't getting responses to numerous calls/emails over the past 2 weeks. Our rate lock expires on Monday (started process/locked in in January).

mine got close to 3 months with wells fargo...it was soooooo annoying!!!!!!!!

it took us about 9 months! It was ridiculous, the bank made some big mistakes and the were SLOW about fixing them.

we refinanced with HSBC and it took FOREVER- and they were the lender on our original mortgage... Started in May, closed in September- lost our rate partway through too

They were waiting on job verification but they never bothered to call me to tell me that.
Too many cooks in the kitchen.
Now they got it so hopefully we will go to closing soon.
