How much does your 5 month old eat?
I don't like to compare but DD hasn't been feeling well. She's on antibiotics and breathing treatments. I think this has cause her appetite to be low. Since her weight is like 88th - 90th percentile the doctor mentioned that its not bad at all for her appetite is low. I just want to get an idea of what others are doing.
DD was taking 8 ozs every 3 hours (about 5 bottles a day) and eating a veggie with rice cereal once a day.
No she is only taking 4-6 ozs every 3 hours (5-6 bottles a day) and I just started offering solids again.

Ds will be 5 months on Sunday.. he drinks 4 7 oz bottles a day.. and 2tbls of rice cereal twice a day.

How much does your 5 month old eat?
My 5.5 month old gets 4 bottles a day 7 oz- does not always finish.
Also gets cereal plus fruit or veggie 2x daily

How much does your 5 month old eat?
DD drinks about 26 oz per day now that she is eating twice a day.
7:00 AM 6oz
11:00 AM 4 tsp rice or oats mixed with fruit and formula. Then drinks the remaining formula in bottle (6oz total)
3:00 PM 6oz
7:00 PM 4 tsp rice or oats mixed with fruit and formula. No bottle given.
9:00 PM 7oz.
She is currently 16 lbs.

they were doing about 5-5.5 prior to last week. Then due to teething (I think-or the britta filter needed to be changed) they only wanted about 3-4. Now this week they are back up to 6 and about once a day they look for another 1.5 oz. They eat 5x per day, but no solids yet.
They just over are 10-15 and 11-8 as of their last visit and are 3rd and 5th percentile for weight.

Yes it does help because DD is about 16.5lbs. Her weight is about 90th and her height is 50th %. She's getting better and her appetite is improving and so far she's been satisfied with 4-6ozs. We've been offering 6ozs bottles and she doesn't always finish them. Even if she does she seems satisfied plus she starting to take veggies and cereal again. So I think I may continue with 6oz bottle for awhile until she seems to need more.

DS is in the 95th percentile and is eating 8oz every 3 hours also. He had a full week recently where he was only eating 4-6oz each time (no idea why). Your DD will probably go back to normal soon.

What about his height? I'm worried I was overfeeding her since her weight seems to be more than for her height.

Your DD seems to now be eating similarly to my DD, who is in the 95th % for height and weight. I wouldn't worry. My DD gets 6.5ish oz bottles every 3.5-4 hours (5 bottles). She has been to slow to take to cereal, but is now doing 2TB in the am, and 1TB in the evening. Sometimes she finishes, sometimes she doesn't.

DS is 95th % for both height and weight. i should also add he's not on baby food yet, just formula still.
I don't think you can overfeed a baby so don't stress too much. Just let her eat what she wants.

DD is probably the odd baby out….she eats 5-6x a day and 4-5oz at a clip. She is breastfed so I am not 100% sure how much she is getting. I know her first two feedings of the day she guzzles like crazy so I think she gets the bulk of her calories then!
She is tiny…at 4 months she was 12lbs and 20th%. She has always been a slow gainer and has been STTN the night since an early age so I think that is why. She was spitting up alot but I went off dairy and it has drastically decreased the spitting up so I wonder if she will gain better now?

Her weight is in the 90th but her height is in the 50th. That's why I'm concerned I'm offering too much.
This morning she sucked down 6 ozs easily, she sucked the bottle dry. But she was fine, wasn't looking for more and just wanted to play. If I had offered an 8oz bottle she would have taken more and probably gone the same 3.5hrs until the next bottle.

DD is in the 50% and she takes 3 4oz bottles of formula at her babysitters house, she eats 3oz of baby puree and oatmeal and banana. she is breastfed in the am and 2xs at night
